This piece faithfully reproduces, to scale, one of the decorative motifs of the Nasrid Palaces. It is a 12-pointed star with doubled, interweaving ornamentation. The interweaving lines create negative spaces which feature acorns. The entire design emerges from a central square. It features an earthen-water patina which is very characteristic of the Alhambra monument.
